The world has well and truly entered the digital age where technology is ever-present and all pervasive. The development of technological innovations facilitated our everyday lives. But they also make significant contributions to criminality. Cybercrime has become a serious problem globally. Cybercrime or computer-oriented crime or online crime is a crime that involves a computer and a network. Cybercrime may threaten a person or a nation's security and financial health. Cybercrime against women as "Crimes targeted against women with a motive to intentionally harm the victim psychologically and physically, using modern telecommunication networks such as internet's and mobile phones". Cybercrimes are myriad – from white-collar crime, such as fraudulent financial transactions, identity theft, and the theft of electronic information for commercial gain, to drug-trafficking, aberrant voyeuristic activities, harassment, stalking or other threatening behaviors. While these have always been deemed criminal activities, they are now so much easier to pursue with a computer. The work of Cyber Crime needs not only a criminological lens, but a multitude of lenses: legal, sociological, and political, in order for us to understand the impact of cybercrime across the society/ state/ country/ world. Cyber Crime PS have determined that's always tried to care for you as well as serve the nation under the flag of Diamond Harbour Police District.
